Future tenses

Future tenses - Will Vs. Be going to

SECTION 1 - Explanations

USE OF GONNA

Sometimes when we speak fastly, going to sounds like gonna. Although it is grammatically incorrect, it is used a lot in informal English.

I'm gonna go the bank tomorrow.  =   I'm going to go the bank tomorrow.
He's gonna buy a new computer. =  He's going to buy a new computer.

USE OF SHALL

Shall is another modal verb used to indicate simple future. It's most commonly used with first person (I and we) to express a strong possibility of an action which is to happen in the near future.

shall leave for Rome tomorrow.
We shall discuss the topic with the teacher.
shall be twenty-five next Monday!
